Provincial ridings have traditionally had the same boundaries as the Federal Ridings so Cobourg has been in the Provincial Riding of Northumberland-Peterborough South since 2015 after a Federal re-distribution in 2012. The election before that was on 2 June 2022. The Federal Riding boundaries were recently changed but on 2 Aug 2024, Premier Doug Ford announced that Ontario would not be changing riding boundaries even though it has done so for 30 years. So for now at least, the current Riding boundaries are not changed so the Provincial Riding remains Northumberland Peterborough South.
